Esports organization T1 expanded its revenue from roughly $1 million in 2019 to $64 million in 2025, successfully achieving profitability last year. Before its 2019 restructuring, the organization operated as SKT T1, functioning primarily as a marketing division for SK Telecom. This financial transformation accelerated following a strategic partnership with American company Comcast Spectacor.

Merchandising currently stands as T1’s largest revenue source, overtaking traditional sponsorships. Meanwhile, offline events such as T1 Homeground generate seven-figure profits while drawing crowds of 12,000 to 15,000 attendees. Building on this momentum, the organization plans to expand its physical footprint by opening a flagship PC cafe and gaming space in Gangnam-gu in October.

League of Legends remains the core of T1’s business model and brand identity, though leadership continues monitoring the broader market. The organization maintains strict operational standards for new esports titles, having previously exited Dota 2 and Hearthstone, and currently rules out entering Counter-Strike.
