Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and Spanish entrepreneur Gonzalo Vila have invested in Astralis parent company Fusion Esports Group. The investment was channeled through their Madrid-based firm, NXTPLAY Capital, which focuses on projects blending sports, media, and technology.

Following this funding round, the esports organization joins NXTPLAY Capital’s growing investment portfolio. The firm’s existing assets already include several traditional football clubs such as Le Mans FC, CD Extremadura, and KRC Genk.
