Blizzard showcased the first short teaser for the World of Warcraft expansion The Last Titan during the BlizzCon opening ceremony. The presentation focused heavily on the final major patch for Midnight named Eclipse, designated as patch 12.2.

In patch 12.2, the storyline involving Xal’atath will reach its climax and players will finally confront the Void Lord. The initial teaser featured a snowy Northrend, the Dragon Shrine, and a massive dark creature firing a powerful laser beam.

Game director Ion Hazzikostas stated that more specific details about The Last Titan will be revealed in early 2027. Blizzard officially confirmed a 2027 release date for World of Warcraft: The Last Titan.
