NVIDIA has delayed the launch of its RTX 50 SUPER series graphics cards, including the RTX 5080 SUPER, RTX 5070 Ti SUPER, and RTX 5070 SUPER. The postponement follows a sharp increase in the cost of GDDR7 memory modules, which now cost $60-70 each for 3GB chips, compared to just $20 for 2GB chips. Despite the price surge, these new modules offer only a 50% increase in memory capacity.

The delay affects not only the RTX 50 SUPER lineup but also casts uncertainty over the release of the RTX 5050 9GB. Partners had already received some RTX 50 SUPER cards before the suspension, but no new release dates have been announced yet.

This development highlights the challenges in the GPU market, where rising component costs can significantly impact product launches. NVIDIA has not provided further details on when the RTX 50 SUPER series will hit the market.
