G2 Gozen VALORANT player Akita revealed that her teammates received death threats during Worlds. The threats began after fans learned the team would be competing in Sao Paulo.

The players also faced numerous insults and a lack of support from spectators in the venue during matches. Akita stated that the hostile behavior and lack of support caused her to question her work and the value of the team’s efforts.

“I still apologize for our performance at Worlds, because I know we are much stronger than we showed,” Akita stated.

She emphasized that esports players are human beings and their performances are backed by countless hours of training and dedication.

“I sincerely love what I do. Esports has always made my eyes shine,” Akita added.
