Tournament operator FISSURE is actively paying off its outstanding prize money debts to various esports clubs after previously owing funds to at least 15 different teams.
The organization has acknowledged all financial obligations and already cleared roughly half of the total debt through ongoing payments that began over the summer.
“We fully recognize the debt. Payments have been ongoing since the summer, about half of our debt in CS2 has already been paid off, and we plan the next major payout stage for the first quarter of 2027,” the FISSURE CEO stated.
FISSURE is coordinating an individual payment schedule with each affected club and will publicly report on the overall payment progress in Q1 2027.
“Over the past months, we worked not only to find funds to repay what we owe, but also to change the economics of our tournaments,” the CEO added.
In response to the situation, the company is shifting its financial model to guarantee prize pools for all future tournaments before the events actually begin.
