Cr1t- publicly questioned tournament operator FISSURE regarding unpaid prize money for 2025 events. The The International 2025 champion left his inquiry under the company’s 2027 tournament calendar announcement on X.
“Do you plan to pay us for the tournaments you owe us for?” Cr1t- asked.
Financial issues surrounding FISSURE first surfaced in the summer of 2025. Complexity Gaming manager Graham Pitt stated in January 2026 that certain clubs could not secure their payouts. FISSURE previously blamed banking procedures for delays while promising to fulfill their financial obligations.
The operator officially acknowledged debts to 15 Counter-Strike 2 teams in June 2026. FISSURE CEO Andrey Mikheev stated in August 2026 that payments had begun and remained a top priority. However, the company has not reported any debts regarding Dota 2 teams yet and plans to host six Dota 2 tournaments in 2027 despite the ongoing controversy.
