Valve has released a new CS2 update that brings back the Overwatch system in a revamped format. The feature is currently available to a select group of users who can review demo recordings of suspected cheaters directly in their browser on the official CS2 page.

The updated Overwatch system analyzes gameplay for four types of cheating: Aim Assist, Wall Hack, Auto BHop, and Bot usage. For each category, users can choose from three verdicts: ‘Cheat present’, ‘Insufficient evidence’, or ‘No cheat’. The primary goal of this system is to train the VACNet neural network rather than issue immediate bans.

Valve has asked users not to publish demo fragments online to prevent cheat creators from adapting to the analysis algorithms. Players can check their access to the new Overwatch through a special invitation in the main CS2 menu. The criteria for invitation distribution remain unclear, but active participants can unlock additional invites.
