Danish sports psychologist zonic and his long-time collaborator Lars Robl have shaped some of the most dominant eras in Astralis and Team Vitality. Before entering esports, Robl spent around 20 years in the Danish special operations forces and reached the rank of lieutenant colonel. His unique background heavily influenced how elite rosters handle pressure and internal conflict.

During the championship era with Astralis, the roster spent three days on an old frigate in Copenhagen without computers to build relationships and align on goals. This unconventional team-building exercise successfully integrated Magisk into the squad. Later at Team Vitality, the organization implemented a practice called Capture, where players immediately shared emotions after matches, a habit that continued even after winning the Paris Major. Vitality also utilized an exercise named Unload the backpack to clear out grudges, envy, and internal conflicts.

Robl actively developed individual leadership skills within the squads, pushing ZywOo to be more demanding and take initiative. Meanwhile, apEX refined his leadership style, earning high praise from the psychologist as one of the best leaders in the scene. Additionally, m0NESY worked with Robl on stabilizing sleep schedules despite hectic match timings. Implementing these structured psychological methods at Team Falcons proved challenging due to public criticism and management doubts. Despite his immense impact on elite Counter-Strike, Robl has never played the game, believing that deep tactical knowledge might distract him from pure psychological preparation.
