Ninjas in Pyjamas has announced the suspension of its youth team project Young Ninjas after over five years of operation. The team’s last match was on June 15, 2026, at the European Pro League Series 7, where they defeated aAa 2:0 before receiving a technical loss to TDK and finishing 9-16th. The organization cited the need to evaluate their competitive ecosystem as the reason for the suspension.

The Belgian player n0te has been promoted from the academy to the main roster, replacing Ukrainian cairne. The Young Ninjas project began in 2021, with their first official match featuring 16-year-old Igor ‘w0nderful‘ Zhdanov against Project X.

Ninjas in Pyjamas expressed gratitude to supporters and wished the players the best in their careers. The organization stated that developing the next generation of talent has always been an important part of their identity.

“Today we say goodbye to the incredibly talented players of our Young Ninjas roster. Developing the next generation of talent has always been an important part of our identity, and it has been a privilege to watch these players grow, improve, and take the next steps in their careers,” Ninjas in Pyjamas said.

“Looking ahead, we have made the difficult decision to suspend the Young Ninjas project for the foreseeable future. While this decision was not an easy one, we believe it is the right one as we assess the future of our competitive ecosystem,” the organization added.
