fnatic announced a new roster with cairne and mazay joining the team. cairne feels comfortable in the new team and has adapted well, unlike his time at NIP where he played five different roles in five months. He chose fnatic partly because of his admiration for fEAR and the team’s history, including the Shanghai Major.
cairne plans to share his experience and advice on physical fitness with mazay. fEAR confirmed that the team’s roles are finalized with Jackasmo returning to the anchor role on some maps. The team’s goal is to qualify for the Major. fEAR believes switching to Ukrainian as the team’s language will improve decision-making and communication.
fEAR stated that the club fully supported his vision for the team during the summer transfer window. mazay has limited LAN experience, having only played in two local tournaments. He left Spirit to join fnatic and aims to qualify for the Major with his new team. mazay prefers an aggressive playstyle but is adaptable to different situations.
“I feel like a fish in water, very comfortable. I have a lot of space to do what I like,” cairne said.
“At NIP, I changed five roles in five months because players didn’t want to play their positions or due to poor team results. This changes the situation dramatically. Everything feels more natural, and it’s much easier to agree on certain things. Let’s see how I play on my old positions in official matches,” cairne added.
“Two years ago, it was my dream to play with fEAR. He is highly respected in the Ukrainian community. Also, the story with the Shanghai Major greatly inspired me and showed that a team of young Ukrainian players can reach a high level through hard work,” cairne explained.
