Luminosity officially signed Alexander ‘kakafu‘ Shymanchyk as their permanent head coach for CS2. The North American organization previously worked with Kakafu on a loan basis. He joined alongside four former Monte players acquired by Luminosity earlier.

Under Kakafu’s leadership, Luminosity participated in two tournaments: XSE Pro League Guangzhou and Esports World Cup 2026. Both events ended poorly, with the team finishing last in each. The disappointing results led to the first roster changes, including moving Aurimas ‘Bymas’ Pipiras to inactive status.
