BCGame released an official statement addressing Major qualification requirements under Valve’s updated Regional Standing rules. The organization features an Asian core consisting of asap, mzinho, and Senzu, alongside star additions s1mple and Magisk.
Valve recently introduced strict regulations to prevent region manipulation. These rules require teams not to have been ranked in another region for the previous three calendar months, putting the squad’s current setup in jeopardy.
“We understand why Valve introduced stricter regional rules. It is necessary to protect the integrity of the system, and we respect that. But it is hard for us to accept that our situation is treated the same as all other cases,” BCGame stated.
The club acknowledged the need to protect competitive integrity but argued their specific case requires a flexible approach. Instead of dropping players for technical workarounds, the organization requested a clean slate.
BCGame proposed resetting all of their VRS points to zero, accepting the challenge to earn their Major qualification entirely on the server within approximately three weeks.
