Valve updated its tournament rules regarding regional team transfers under the VRS ranking system. The initial regulation required a team to avoid representation in another region’s VRS rating for the preceding three months. This restriction threatened to block BCGame from qualifying for PGL Major Singapore after their move to the Asian region. Other rosters affected by this original rule change included Sashi and WW Team.

BCGame CEO Ali Ako Muhanned and coach Viktor TaZ Wojtas publicly advocated for an exemption and appealed directly to Valve. The roster features standout players asap, Magisk, mzinho, s1mple, and Senzu as they prepare for the upcoming qualifiers.

BCGame is assigned to the Asian region and has the right to receive an invitation to the Major, Valve stated.

Valve ultimately granted a special exception allowing BCGame to compete in the Asian region and fight for a Major spot without waiting out the mandatory three-month requirement.
