Valve has released patch 7.41e for Dota 2, introducing sweeping changes to over 50 heroes, dozens of items, and core mechanics less than two weeks before The International 2026. The update brings substantial nerfs to Snapfire and Zeus, including reduced damage for Zeus’s ultimate ability Thundergod’s Wrath. Drow Ranger’s Multishot, Bane’s Nightmare, and Shadow Fiend’s base intelligence have also been weakened.

The patch buffs several heroes, including Gyrocopter, Outworld Destroyer, Queen of Pain, Venomancer, and Legion Commander. Items have been adjusted as well, with the Kaya line seeing reduced mana regeneration bonuses and Satanic’s active ability cooldown increased. Multiple Divine Rapier effects no longer stack, and Urn of Shadows, Essence Distiller, and Spirit Vessel no longer gain charges from the Roshan pit.

Game mechanics have been tweaked, allowing stuns to interrupt Even Portals and adjusting Templar Assassin and Underlord abilities. A compendium for The International 2026 introduces team support sets at gold, silver, and bronze levels, along with new rewards and talents. The Fantasy Predictions mode returns with bonuses, including Aegis discounts, while new items, landscape tokens, and Ukrainian commentary have been added. The ranking system now caps MMR at 9500, requiring 8500 points to reach Immortal rank.
