Former TACO recently shared a startling incident from his career during an appearance on the Flow Podcast alongside coldzera. While traveling in China for a tournament, a stranger posing as a representative of a local streaming platform approached him under the guise of discussing a cooperation deal.

The conversation quickly took a dark turn when the individual shifted topics and propositioned the player directly.

“How much do you want to lose tomorrow’s game?” TACO asked.

TACO immediately shut down the proposal, stood up, and walked out of the meeting. MIBR ultimately faced Evil Geniuses during the CS:GO Asia Championships 2019 in Shanghai, where statistics show the team secured a 2-0 victory.

Securing the win did not immediately bring relief, as anxiety over potential repercussions weighed heavily on the champion.

“We won the game, and I thought: ‘God, what if they start hunting me now?'” TACO recalled.
