“Skybox is killing tactical innovation in CS2,” SNAPPI said.

According to the veteran captain, tools like Skybox allow teams to review everything opponents do in scrims. Innovative tactics used once in practice are quickly copied and shared across the scene. Furthermore, the transition to the MR12 format leaves captains with less time to adapt during maps.

Snappi also emphasized that the scene often undervalues experience by pushing young players into in-game leader roles too quickly. He noted that established figures like karrigan, apEX, gla1ve, and FalleN all developed their individual skills long before taking on heavy leadership duties.
