Aleksib recently shed light on Natus Vincere and their decision to bring Dust2 back into the active map pool. The squad went four to five months without playing the map before deciding to reintroduce it for upcoming matches.

According to the captain, the team is fully capable of handling all seven maps in the competitive pool. However, he emphasized that versatility alone is not enough to secure victories without a high baseline form.

“Yeah, I think we can play on all seven maps. It is always good during the veto, but at the same time, if our overall game is not at the highest level, it does not give us a big advantage,” Aleksib said.

The team practiced Dust2 extensively beforehand but opted to exclude it previously due to stronger results on alternative maps. Bringing the map back now aims to catch opponents off guard who least expect it after such a long absence.

“We practiced this map, and considering how we played on other maps during practice, we just did not want Dust2 to stay in our map pool,” Aleksib added.
