Aleksib opened up about the heavy pressure Natus Vincere currently faces in the race for a PGL Bucharest playoff spot and a crucial Singapore Major invite. The team’s captain pointed out that failing to reach the playoffs at EPL was a costly misstep that complicated their qualification standings.

“I just think we really slipped up by missing the playoffs at EPL. Now it creates extra pressure: we are required to reach the playoffs here at PGL Bucharest to avoid ending up in a difficult situation,” Aleksib said.

The missed opportunity at the previous event forced the squad into a tight spot as they fight to avoid a precarious qualification standing. Aleksib stressed that maintaining their current form Natus Vincere will not be enough to conquer the season’s most important tournament.

“We understand that if we play poorly and go to the Major with this level of CS, we will not win it. We would not be satisfied with a quarterfinal exit - our goal is to reach the grand final,” Aleksib stated.
