Alimzhan "watson" Islambekov is a Kazakhstani Dota 2 player currently competing for Team Yandex. He began playing the game in 2013 and transitioned to a professional career after winning local and national tournaments in Kazakhstan. He signed with B8 in 2021. Watson has won six major tournament titles: ESL One Birmingham 2026, BLAST SLAM VII, PGL Wallachia Season 7, DreamLeague Season 27, and two victories each at BLAST Slam V and PGL Wallachia Season 5. He is also notable for being one of the first Kazakh players to qualify for The International in 2023, alongside fellow player TA2000. In addition to his tournament success, watson has achieved significant milestones in Dota 2 matchmaking, becoming the first player to reach 14,000 MMR on May 22, 2024, and subsequently reaching 15,000 MMR on September 29, 2024. He previously reached 12,000 MMR on September 7, 2022, and 13,000 MMR on February 2, 2023.
