M80 has acquired the Boston Breach franchise in the Call of Duty League (CDL), marking its debut in Call of Duty esports. The team will now represent Boston under the name M80 Boston. This acquisition is the largest deal in the organization’s history and marks its sixth discipline in its portfolio.

M80 previously competed in Counter-Strike 2, VALORANT, Rainbow Six Siege, Rocket League, and 2XKO. The new roster will be based in the Greater Boston area and will be the only CDL franchise in the New England region. M80 plans to develop the local esports scene through fan events, match viewings, and collaborations with university and amateur teams.

Adam Morrison, co-founder of Oxygen Esports and former COO, became a co-owner of M80 and its commercial director. Richard Nino joined as a strategic investor and senior advisor, while Kevin Conroy, former president of Digital & New Platforms at MGM, joined M80’s board of directors. The acquisition is linked to the growing audience of the league ahead of the new season and the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 on October 23, 2026.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
