The Esports World Cup will host an open festival on the Champs-Élysées in Paris on August 2, aiming to popularize esports among a wider audience. The free event will feature a mini-tournament in Rocket League with founders of Team Vitality, Karmine Corp, and Gentle Mates, along with show matches in Trackmania and EA Sports FC.

An interactive zone with activities, lectures, and panel discussions will be available for attendees. The festival runs alongside the main tournament at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, with organizers calling it the largest public esports celebration in France.

Ralf Reichert, CEO of Esports Foundation, sees the festival as part of a strategy to make esports the biggest sport globally.

“This initiative is part of the strategy to make esports the biggest sport in the world,” Ralf Reichert said.
