ESL has updated its tournament regulations, introducing stricter penalties and banning certain sponsorships. The new rules prohibit sponsorships from skin sites, 18+ content, and similar categories. Additionally, political, religious, and offensive symbols are now banned.
The organization has increased the VAC ban penalty from 2 to 5 years and banned hate speech in internal team communications. Match scheduling has been changed to avoid late-night followed by early-morning games, and warm-up maps have been increased from 2 to 5.
Players must stay in the gaming zone during official matches unless permitted by organizers. Teams withdrawing must compensate replacement teams, and teams and players must submit required documents for prize money within 18 months.
