ATF opened up about his mindset regarding professional and why his approach differs from many of his peers in the scene. Rather than treating competition as a standard 9-to-5 occupation, the champion looks at the bigger picture.
“Some players take a break and refuse to play for one, two, or three weeks. For them, Dota is work: first they take a vacation, then they return and give it their all. I don’t think like that. I perceive it as a privilege,” ATF stated.
The star player typically grinds four to eight matches daily, sometimes playing more if he feels unsatisfied with his current form. However, he avoids grueling fourteen-hour bootcamp sessions, choosing instead to protect his mental and physical well-being.
“You can go to the gym, take a walk, or even just fool around for an hour. I prefer to constantly maintain this balance. For me, it is more about maintaining a certain routine,” ATF added.
By incorporating gym sessions and outdoor walks into his daily schedule, the player successfully avoids burnout while competing at the highest level of The International.
