Psycho recently detailed his transition from coaching back to active play with WBT Academy in an interview with UESF.
“It all started with a substitution. Kane called me to a LAN in Prague because the main player could not go,” Psycho said.
Following a LAN victory in Prague, the lineup decided to continue playing together.
The team featured DemQQ during the Stage 2 Чемпіонату України з CS2, stepping in while the Norwegian captain was absent.
“Three weeks of practice before the LAN in Portugal is not enough, especially for DemQQ, who plays in new and unusual spots for himself,” Psycho noted.
Limited preparation time complicated adaptation for new arrivals.
Psycho also emphasized that the Valve Regional Standings system forces teams to compete constantly to avoid losing points. Meanwhile, the presence of 35 Ukrainian passport holders at a Lisbon LAN highlights the active growth of the local competitive scene.
