MOUZ head coach sycrone addressed the team’s ongoing roster rebuild and adaptation challenges in a recent interview during the StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026. The squad experienced a rocky start to the group stage with an unexpected loss against NRG, followed by a tough series against Natus Vincere where they dropped the newly added Cache before securing wins on Inferno and Mirage.

Amid these roster adjustments, sycrone praised new additions xelex and PR for their willingness to learn and accept criticism.

“First and foremost, they ask good questions. They are interested in the game, and they are open to feedback. I think, for a coach, that is the most important thing – having someone who is willing to accept criticism and has the right attitude toward it,” sycrone said.

xelex is currently working on expanding his positional options, while PR continues to search for his most comfortable role in the lineup. At the same time, torzsi suffered from emotional burnout after acting as the team’s primary emotional driver for nearly five years.

“For almost five years, torzsi was the main heart and fire of the team. He was always the one pushing the team forward on stage. It is a difficult and demanding role, and, to be honest, he burned out a little toward the end of last season,” sycrone stated.

To alleviate this pressure, xertioN has taken on a new captain role, and torzsi is receiving psychological support with the goal of returning to peak form by the end of the year. sycrone also addressed fan criticism and booing, emphasizing the need for mutual respect.

“We need to protect ourselves from that a little. We need to focus on why we are here. In the end, they will respect us the most for playing good Counter-Strike,” sycrone added.

With players like Spinx and xertioN showing more emotion on the server, MOUZ prepares to fight for survival in the tournament lower bracket on September 19.
