HEROIC fell to fnatic in a 0-2 sweep during the Esports World Cup 2026 qualifiers. The defeat marks a setback for the Danish squad, who will now miss out on the main event.
Chr1zN attributed the loss to their inability to counter fnatic’s aggressive tactics.
“We were overwhelmed by their pace and pressure,” he admitted. “fnatic play very aggressively and directly. We simply got outplayed.”
Following the loss, HEROIC will focus on a bootcamp to regroup. Chr1zN noted, “We haven’t had a proper bootcamp yet, so we plan to do that now. Then we’ll have to wait for invitations or rejections for the next few qualifiers since we’ve dropped out of the top rankings.”
The defeat impacts HEROIC’s ranking and upcoming tournament schedule, forcing them to reassess their approach before future competitions.
