GamerLegion player Tauson was hospitalized in Holbæk due to reactive arthritis, forcing him to miss the IEM Beijing 2026 closed qualifier. The inflammatory joint disease initially targeted his knee before spreading to his left hand.

With recovery estimated to take one to three weeks, Maden will step into the active GamerLegion lineup as a substitute. Tauson shared his frustration over the timing during a crucial part of the season.

“It is very unpleasant, because now is the middle of the season, and there are three extremely important tournaments ahead in view of the approaching Major. The timing is just the worst possible. But I am living day by day and will try to recover as quickly as possible,” Tauson said.

Despite the setback, Tauson expects to receive his discharge soon and aims to return to competitive play next week at the FISSURE Playground 3 tournament in China.
