Former French Counter-Strike professional player and streamer maleK has died at the age of 35 following an incident in Aix-en-Provence on the evening of September 26.

Police and the RAID special unit responded after an ex-girlfriend alerted authorities following a distressing message regarding his intentions. He barricaded himself and negotiated with law enforcement for several hours before shooting himself during the standoff, passing away the following morning in the hospital.

maleK started his esports career in CS:Source in 2011 before becoming a prominent figure in the French CS:GO scene. During his active years, he competed for teams such as beGenius and Epsilon.

After transitioning away from competitive play, he built a large community as a full-time streamer. He accumulated over 130,000 subscribers on YouTube and 155,000 followers on Twitch.
