Esports analyst Dustin “dusT” Mouret recently shared a critical assessment regarding the individual performance of r1nkle within G2. Mouret pointed out that the Ukrainian AWPer’s current numbers fail to meet the expectations usually placed on a primary sniper on the tier-one scene.

According to the analyst, the player’s output closely mirrors the impact typically expected from an in-game leader rather than a dedicated sniper.

“If you remove the name and just look at his stats and the type of tournaments he plays in, you might think that r1nkle is a captain with a quite acceptable ability to get frags,” dusT stated.

Mouret also brought up a historical parallel involving cmtry, noting how cmtry previously relinquished the AWP role to transition into a rifler position to stay competitive at the top level.
