A major update brought quiet reload mechanics, a new game mode, and code references to an upcoming weapon. However, players quickly discovered critical issues affecting how weapons handle their ammunition.

Ozzny demonstrated that the silent reload feature fails to function properly on six different firearms in the game. Nearby players still hear the full reload sound even when users attempt the slower silent option.

“It looks like it’s not working on some weapons such as the MP5, Revolver, MAG-7, Scar, Negev & M249 If you’re a lunatic using any of these right now, just know you’re spending half an hour reloading your Negev and it’s not silent…” Ozzny said.

Community members also uncovered a separate animation exploit following the patch. Players can shorten standard reload times by 0.3 seconds by pressing the reload key twice before holding it down.
