FUT coach coolio recently opened up about the career path of Ukrainian player cmtry and the challenges he faced in top-tier competition. According to the coach, the AWP role was not entirely natural for the player from the very beginning of his transition.

While coolio praised his work ethic and raw talent, he pointed out a lack of instinctive movement with the big green gun. Instead of having a natural feel for the sniper position, cmtry had to learn how to play with the weapon through sheer dedication and practice.

“When I joined the NAVI youth roster, cmtry was already playing with the AWP, but I didn’t know he had been switched to that role. Honestly, I believe he lacked that natural feel for the role at the tier-1 level. Nikita is genuinely talented and a very hardworking guy, it was great working with him, and we remain good friends. However, he didn’t have those instinctive movements and game sense as if he was born a sniper, cmtry simply learned to be a sniper, and that is why he occasionally had trouble with the AWP,” coolio said.

Despite the tactical difficulties and role adaptation hurdles they encountered together, both individuals maintained a strong professional relationship and remain close friends outside of the server.
